Senseless Tragedy

I'm sure by now, everyone has heard about the tragedy at Virginia Tech. My heart aches for VTech and my prayers are with them, their families, and friends. I can only be thankful that no one I know is injured or dead. It's times like this that you wonder what the world is coming to.

If at all possible, VTech students have asked people to wear burgandy and/or orange (their school colors) as a show of support and tribute the those lost.

I can only hope and pray that every little bit that people on the outside of this tragedy can do to show their support and sympathy will help comfort those effected by it. Things like this may seem trivial in the big picture, but it's thing like that that help bring a community together in the greatest time of need.

Inna lillaahi wa inna ilayhi raaji'oon; Verily to Allah belongs what He took and to Him belongs what He gave, and everything with Him has an appointed time.

This is such a sad situation, and it reminds us of how short life really is.

SubhanAllah this is happening every single day in Iraq, but on a much worse scale.
